Having served as Sudbury Outdoor Secretary for the past twenty years Graham Smith has decided to retire at the Outdoor AGM in September.  This gives the Club Membership four months to find a new Secretary, it could be a member who has spent their entire working life in an office environment, who would be able to bring their skills of many years to the benefit of the club.

Graham is happy to talk through the job with anyone who is interested.

Bowls England have great pleasure in announcing that Suffolk's Percy Rowe is the latest recipient of their Certificate of Merit, an award to celebrate the many unsung heroes that give so much time and effort to grassroots bowls.

Percy widely known as 'Mr Suffolk' and respected throughout the country, has been recognised for his dedication to administration and the promotion of our sport, fulfilling roles such as Competition and Area Secretary for his county since 1990, as well as General Secretary and County Administrator until his retirement in December 2020.

Sudbury Bowls Club Management and members send Percy their congratulations on this well earned award and wish him and his wife Joanne and family lots of happiness and good health.

It is with sadness to report that on Thursday 20th May, Maurice Davison passed away.  The club management and members send his family their deepest condolences on this sad news.

Details of access to the Bowls Hall and playing are available to view in the Guidelines below.

Please observe the British Government Guidelines regarding social distancing.

Happy bowling and stay safe.
