Sudbury Bowls Club
Sudbury Bowls Club was founded in 1913, details and photographs can be viewed on the 'History of Sudbury Bowls Club Page'.
We are a members club located in Quay Lane CO10 2AN, entrance is opposite the Quay Theatre.
The Club plays Bowls England, English Indoor Bowling Association and English Bowling Federation codes.
Having celebrated it's centenary in 2013, the club continues to be successful due to a mix of both competitive and social members. Our competitive bowlers participate in National, County and Club Competitions.
Adjacent to the outdoor six rink lawn green is a spacious four rink indoor club with recently completed replacement of the bowls carpet plus improvements to the heating system and ventilation and car park. The Ladies and Gentlemen changing areas have been upgraded together with a separate disabled facility. The licensed bar and social lounge have been improved along with LED lighting in the bowls hall and solar panels installed on the roof, the club also has a fully equipped kitchen.
During the Winter Indoor Season players from local Outdoor Clubs integrate into the seventy plus teams in our Leagues and Annual Competitions.
The club welcome new bowlers at any time of the year. If you would like to try bowls for the first time indoors or outdoors, please email Colin Clarke at sudburybowlsclub@outlook.com Colin will be pleased to offer you help and advice. We also have qualified coaches available who will help together with explaining the finer points of the game. More information is available on the 'Club Membership Page'
